How does it work ?
Undergoing an IVF
treatment, you must prepare by undergoing
diagnostics and using medication. The diagnostic
part is the so called pre treatment. This can
legally be done in The Netherlands.
During this part, the growing follicles are
monitored with ultra sound scans. As soon as they
are big enough, you can leave for the clinic
abroad where the real treatment will be done.
Depending on
the moment of your arrival abroad, you will meet
the clinics team and you will get further
information about the rest of the procedure.
Follicles will be taken away and fertilized. The
egg cells will grow up to embryos to be ready for
the PGD screening. That is the moment the sex of
the embryo will be dertemined. Further there is a
screening for the most common genetic disorders.
After a few
days, an average of 3 embryos are transferred back
into the Uterus. That's all. After that you can go
home. The rest of the pregnancy is not different
from a natural pregnancy.
